What to expect

What can I expect prior to my session?

Expect a few back and forth emails, phone calls, messaging about your session.  We will discuss any concerns or ideas you may have about locations, outfits, etc.  I love when clients have ideas! Send me your Pinterest board, I'd love to see what inspires you.

Where will my photos be taken?
Depending on the type of session you are interested in will depend on where we can shoot them.  I have plenty ideas for outdoor locations I will provide. I also have a studio in Graham, NC.   If you have a location that means a lot to you or is special to your family let me know and I can see if we can make it work.

What can I expect after my session is finished?

Within a few days you will get a sneak peak of your photos posted on Facebook.  Your full gallery of images will be posted to an online gallery.  I will email you the link once it is available.  You will be able to share with family and friends for up to 14 days. Once your gallery is finished you will be able to download them straight to your computer.

What if our session is rained out?

We will either reschedule your session as soon as my schedule and the weather allows or use my studio as a back up.

How do we pay?

I require a deposit to secure your date. This will be discussed after contacting me! Full payment is due at the time of the session. I accept cash, cards, and personal checks.

Can I put my images on Facebook?

Of course! If you must crop my logo out to use as a profile picture, please tag or mention "Angela Norton Photography" Thank you!

When will we see our proofs?

2 weeks is my estimated turn around time to finish editing. Please allow extra time for my "Busy Season" which is September-December. I will post sneak peaks on my Facebook page before then! Once I am finished your images can be viewed in your gallery.

When will I get my flash drive?
I try to mail these out asap, however I like to mail them out in batches for convenience and to save time, so it may be a week or so before I can mail yours. I recommend downloading from your gallery if you need images asap!

What time of day is best suited for our family portraits?
The “Golden Hour” of photography is one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset.  In other words, early mornings and late afternoons are the best times for outdoor portraits.

How long can I expect my portrait session to last?
I usually reserve 1hr-1hr and a half  for each session.  Sessions may take less time or more time depending on circumstances. Newborn & baby sessions can last several hours depending on the needs of baby and Mom.
