Coordinating colors or picking a color scheme work very well!

Pick one color and pick different shades to go with it!

Textures & patterns can be fun too, just not too much that it takes away from the photo.

All white or all black can work too with a little splash of color and pattern.

Avoid Neon Colors! Fluorescent colors tend to color cast on faces, necks and hair. They’re harsh sometimes. I always recommend versions of primary colors. Yellow (mustard), red (maroon, brick), and blue (navy, royal).

Also accessorize! Bracelets, scarves, necklaces, bowties, etc can make a picture!

Another really fun way is to have one person wearing a pattern and then drawing colors out of their outfit to coordinate with the rest of the family.
